Built On Trust
Veterans Listening Post is an organization built on trust, support, and connection. Their mission centers around creating a safe space for veterans to be heard.
The existing logo did not reflect that level of credibility or emotional weight.
The Problem
Low Clarity, Low Credibility
The original logo lacked clarity, hierarchy, and scalability.
- Overly detailed badge-style composition
- Too much text competing for attention
- Poor readability at smaller sizes
- Generic visual structure with low distinctiveness
- Did not reflect the emotional core of the mission

The Strategy
Simplify. Align. Strengthen.
1. Simplify the message
Removed excess text and reduced visual clutter. Focused on clarity, readability, and immediate recognition.
2. Align visuals with mission
Developed a symbol combining a shield (protection, trust, service) with a headset and signal (listening, connection) — visualizing both military foundation and emotional support.
3. Strengthen hierarchy
Rebuilt the layout to prioritize the organization name, reduce competing elements, and improve legibility across all sizes.
4. Build a system
Created a scalable identity system: primary logo, secondary logo, icon-only mark, and clean color structure — designed for social, print, apparel, and digital platforms.
